About Me
My name is Sofie Marais-Moens and I was born is Belgium in 1980.
In 2007 I went on a holiday to Cape Town and fell in love with the city … who wouldn’t with its mountains, sea and vineyards all in close proximity :)
So I decided to go and study my MBA there, made it my home and never looked back. After a long career in the corporate world, I decided that it was time for a change and started my first tour operating company in 2016.
When wanting to expand my knowledge about wildlife and nature I visited Botswana for the first time and yet again I fell in love with the country and the wilderness and decided to become a safari guide and founded Lerato Adventures with Isabelle and the rest is history, as they say.
In my spare time I love good food and wine, chilling with nice music and road tripping with my hubby.
